What does this mean? That we all need to get informed about the Copyright Alert System and what it means for freedom of speech and privacy. ISP’s will soon have an iron fist that they can use to stop “piracy”, or whatever they want to call piracy. They will judge, jury, and executioner when it comes to “suspicious” activity online. I hope that our anti-trust laws can help stop this, but I believe education is the only way that we might be able to stop this. Unfortunately we may have to ask the government, the one with the great SOPA idea, to step in to stop this. This may be one of the few times I think the government needs to stay out, and we need to step up.
