Symantec Security Breach
An article by paradise

Symantec recently had their pcAnywhere source code breached, basically meaning anyone who has it better disable it ASAP. Of course, this happened FIVE YEARS AGO. They decided they should probably not mention that to anyone, that whole stock price and everything. I highly recommend setting up a VPN for at home or at work if you need remote access. Most of even the most basic routers can do this now, with a little tinkering. If you need access to your work PC, find out if your work offers it as well. Link to the article below, as well as a VPN how to.
